Forgotten keys

The owner must have been absorbed in some interesting mail to close the box, lock it and forget the keys!  There was no identification on what I assume is a house key, but even if there was, I'd have left them there. Mail is only delivered Monday to Friday, so these might have been hanging here for a couple of days - or people often pick up their mail on the weekend, so maybe not. An unusual lanyard too - Indian Pacific.
I really enjoyed my early morning walk. Watered the garden, picked tomatoes, salad veggies and beets and did some general cleanup in the garden when I got home and not much else, although it feels like its been a busy day. Thought we might get some rain but we didn't.
