Did you say cream for breakfast?

Yes! But just not any cream, but the triple thickness Gruyère cream which can be found at my local cheese shop! They get it delivered twice a week from Gruyère!

This cream is thick enough to hold a spoon upright without any trouble at all, as you can see from the photo!

The tasty, sweet strawberries are the result of two shoots from the original plants which have grown into two huge plants full of fruit on my balcony.  I picked eighteen of them this morning, but shared the biggest one with Jean before cutting up the others for breakfast. I added some extremely ripe and delicious figs we bought from the Lausanne market on Saturday.

What a way to start a new day, especially on a Monday!
