Steam, Sea & Sky

H and I went for a lovely walk this morning from Sheringham Park over to Weybourne station and back through the woods, stopping at the station for a cuppa. If you look carefully you might be able to see the hay bales I photographed the other day https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2874709459676954695

We bumped in to G and A at the station. The forecast for today was full sun all day and 21C from 10am........it was cloudy all day and 17C with brief appearances of the sun, so disappointing. I've added an extra of two steam train drivers, do you think there's a family resemblance?

Horrified, but not totally surprised, to read that women on FTSE 100 are on average paid 73% less than their male counterparts and that the gender pay gap is 15.5% across the UK workforce as a whole.

Day 525 / Day 36 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
The UK has placed an order for an additional 35M doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine for H2 2022. There's been a sharp increase in cases in Cumbria and tourists are being asked to take a lateral flow test before visiting. The CDC in the US says those with increased risk of severe illness from Covid should avoid going on cruises, even if fully jabbed. They said 'The virus that causes Covid-19 spreads easily between people in close quarters aboard ships, and the chance of getting Covid-19 on cruise ships is high'. Covid was the 9th biggest cause of death in England in July. The Changing of the Guard ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace today, the first time since the pandemic began.
