Climbing at Stanage but unfortunately the midges were there before us and hogging every route. Luckily I had my midge hood in my bag so I was ok Jack but I still got loads of bites on my wrists and ankles, even with using Smidge and tucking my trousers into my socks - I think they hid up my trouser legs!

But I took the hood off to climb, it impaired my vision a bit, and so by 2pm we'd had enough and packed up. Oh well, I was still tired anyway from the Lakes so I doubt I could've done too much more.

There was a photo shoot taking place, firstly on top of the Edge and later near the parking. Apparently it was advertising for Ellis Brigham, the outdoor shop.
