I've had a right job with this stubborn screw this morning. I used multiple screwdrivers, the pliers and even tried sawing it off flush, but eventually a large flathead screwdriver managed it. I don't know why it was such trouble.

Anyway, the curtains and pole are down now and I've started on the last patches of ancient wallpaper.

The drizzle has turned torrential and looks like it's set in... but we need it and it means I won't have to water my neighbour's new plants this evening. 

Edit: I have just varnished all my nails, for the first time in at least three years! Unfortunately I may be at the climbing wall tomorrow and climbing outside on Monday... what varnish will be left I wonder
