Me, Karen and Cromer's Banksy

We have had a lovely day with our friends Karen and Neil visiting from Cambridge. After coffee and cakes, we drove in to a very windy Cromer and went for a walk along the seafront. We stopped at the Rocket cafe for lunch overlooking the sea. Then walked along the beach, together with quite a lot of other people. It was only when we saw a crowd gathered we raised why so many people had been on that windy walk down the beach. Cromer's very own Banksy. Much smaller than I thought it was going to be!

We carried on walking then went up the steps that go up the cliff. Lots of steps. Then a circular walk back through the woods and down the hill back into Cromer. It really was so windy that it felt like a November afternoon, not August almost bank holiday weekend!

We drove home and had had cup of tea in the summerhouse, looking through a pile of old maps! When Henry came in, we all drove to East Runton to get fish and chips and then sat overlooking a raging wild sea, sheltered in a hut to eat, and watching lots of little rabbits on the grass. Karen and Neil are staying at mum's nextdoor tonight.

We have sat in the warm with a glass of wine or a beer this evening, catching up a bit more. It has been such a nice day!
