My observation revealed that:

1. Wood Pigeons close their eyes when they pick up bread
2. Rooks prefer Sourdough to Paul Hollywood's Stout Soda Bread (Recipe: this week's Radio Times)
3. Jackdaws like to pick up their bread on the wing
4. Magpies are happy with anything but don't like having their photograph taken

I'm sure Stephen Fry would be impressed.
