I have spent many years of my life single (although not for at least 20 years now) and I loved the freedom of it.  But I always had the option of seeking companionship even though it daunted me.  I really cannot imagine what it would be like to be single at a time like this especially if you have always craved the company of others, however fleeting or deep.

I got the impression that the idea behind a "singles bubble" was "support" not "unknown entanglement".

I wonder if he's got his own written appraisal of himself that he hands out in return for your written applications.
