Jogging along

I feel the need to share the last couple of our photo shoots with you; so this one was actually taken last night, but after I’d already blipped.

Our original plan was to visit John O’Groats this morning but we are so thankful we didn’t as it was ‘dreich’.

Mr A remembered that today was Saturday and figured that the area around the signpost could be busy, so we decided to try and get there for sunset, which was a bit of a dash but so worth it as there wasn’t a soul around.

As I predicted earlier in the week, getting dressed and setting up the camera became much easier the more we’ve done it, so there were only a couple of takes needed.

Today has been another busy day. I’d totally forgotten that our B&B had pet coos; called Toffee and Apple, we got to feed and brush them this morning. They also had a 3 week old calf called Jock but he was very timid.

We popped into the Castle of Mey, just to snap a quick photo as it wasn’t open until 11am. Our first proper stop of the day was Duncansby Head. By the time we arrived, the weather had lifted slightly so we felt it worth the walk to see the sea stacks. Mr A cautiously flew his drone around the area to take some aerial shots, but stayed at altitude as he didn’t want to get too close to the rocks or seagulls.

We stopped off in Wick for lunch before driving to Dunrobin Castle. This again was a quick whip round the car park as we’d been held up en route being witness to a car/motorbike collision. Luckily it was at a relatively slow speed and no one was hurt. Mr A’s dashcam caught the whole thing so he’s shared that with the owner of the car (the bike ran in the back of him).

Our b&b tonight is right on Golspie beach. When they found out we were on honeymoon, they brought us a bottle of prosecco! We are going to have it later with local fish and chips :-)
