Abandoned during lockdown

This morning was sunny and the lack of wind meant it was quite warm. Deciding that the storm warning for later today would probably be borne out (and it has been!), I had a run late morning. Coinciding with high tide. Which means that the beach would have been very busy any normal spring Sunday.

But the swing is alone as the children stay in their homes with their family.

Today, the number of new community cases of Covid infection in Auckland was the same as yesterday, which may mean that the curve is flattening. Certainly we have not seen the almost exponential increases that are still happening in Sydney. And despite the low use of the tracking app, the trackers have been able to link all but about 50 definitively with one or more of the subclusters.

Auckland and north will remain in Level 4 for the foreseeable, while everyone south of Auckland is likely to go to Level 3 on Wednesday.
