Calm

Waiting on the removal guys arriving to do their first unload, a moment of calm to be enjoyed.
Only a twelve hour day today, doing rather than helping. But after some frantic, far-too-late packing, three runs to the new flat, major confusion about what had been agreed with the removal firm, more frantic activity to find an available garage to store everything not being moved in (most of which should have been junked), some final, Herculean efforts to get all said junk loaded into the van, I gave the guys some of Peter’s beer and waved them goodbye.
The flat is great by the way and this window opens completely to give all the sunset views you could ask for. I hope that once Peter gets a kitchen installed, has all his stuff unpacked and is settled in then he’ll grow to like it!
Beer and pizza for our tea - more comfort food.
