Ship's wheel, HMS Victory

Continuing this week's nautical theme, this is Gill's blip of the Victory, Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar, 1805. She went to Portsmouth with my in-laws today and met up with George, our youngest, who's living there at university. The in-laws escaped the north just in time before the blizzard swept in. Their home is snowbound now.

In normal conditions it took four men to turn the wheel. In rough conditions it needed eight.
