Pumpkins are normally harvested in September and October, but these were ready today! We do have another plant but those pumpkins won’t be ready for a couple of weeks • Did you know pumpkins are a fruit, and not a vegetable? • In the US pumpkins are associated with “comfort”. Autumn brings a return to school and home, back to routine and family gatherings, and Thanksgiving. The coffee giant Starbucks focused on that universal feeling when they introduced their Pumpkin Spice Coffee. An obsession was born, as diehard fans celebrated the start of Autumn only when they could once more sip their PS Latte • And, in case you’re wondering, pumpkin is not America’s favorite pie.
