A Day In The Life

Back Off

Catbird was there first quietly nibbling suet and enjoying a peaceful morning. He was conveniently perched on a branch beneath the feeder. Then, Nuthatch lands on that same feeder, obviously not liking the close proximity of Catbird. That’s when the drama started. Nuthatch flared his tail feathers, then fully spread both wings. When that didn’t deter Catbird he leaned in closer with staring beady eyes. Yep, that did it! Catbird flew away and left Nuthatch alone on the feeder. So much for sharing • A cool quiet Sunday here. All eyes on Hurricane Ida, and the last 48 hours of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
