Life after Burradoo, NSW

A lesson from ancient peoples

Real movement at last. The very large pipes I previously reported were really on the move this morning. Four lengths of the pipes had been joined together (I know not how) and were being pulled up the road to their resting place where they will be buried. To stop the joined pipes dragging along the road the workers employed a strategy developed by ancient peoples. They had cut a short length of pipe and rolled the joined pipes over it.

Taking this photo while I walked this morning was a bit bizarre because I had just finished a series to calls to our neighbours in our estate to tell them that Wendy, our good friend and neighbour, died peacefully last night. She was a wonderfully generous and funny woman with a sense of humour that sometimes bordered on the acerbic. We will miss her greatly.
