Under the Willow….

A brief COVID-19 update. There were 49 new cases in the Auckland area today. None elsewhere. To add to Auckland’s woes there was a bad storm overnight in the western areas and at Kumeu. The torrential rain has caused significant flooding and storm damage. We feel for them… they have more than enough to put up with. As there have been no new cases in the rest of the country we will be going down to Lockdown Level Three at 11.59pm tonight. Yay!
Maisie and I enjoyed an early walk this morning. The weeping Willow beside the river is on the brink of bursting into bud. The tiny patch of sunlight in the far distance is about all we had here today. We have had low cloud, a grey day with a chilly wind. Fingers crossed the sun will shine tomorrow and being in Lockdown Level Three by then should cheer us up somewhat.
