Monday morning activity on the plot

Picked peas, (feet photo on my lovely bark chippings path), rrunner beans, lifted the last of the beetroot, picked courgettes, & gherkins, a couple of bolted turnips, they'll add flavour to a noodle soup  stock. They use Mooli in Thailand so same family. :-D Cut the top growth off  the remaining broad bean plants, removed the bird protection netting from the blueberry plants, harvested more pot marigold seed heads. Watered & fed everything .... no rain forecast on the horizon so a good soaking is needed. Pulled rhubarb from a neighbour's plot, with permission obviously :-D.
Back to base, sorted the veggies out, packed in the fridge. Next job, start the mung beans off. Fingers crossed noodle soup on the menu at Chez 81 later in the week, I can't say when, depends when the beans have sprouted sufficiently.
Watched the equestrian event, from Tokyo. Team gold. Whoop! Whoop!  Athletics were brilliant as well, felt sorry for Jonnie Peacock, but you can only do your best, & the German guy, Felix Streng FLEW down that track. Incredible what these athletes are achieving in their given sports events.
I made a scrummy plot veggie soup for dinner with a rye soda bread for dips.
Thanks to carolina for hosting Mono Monday through August, it's been fun.
