Wound up in Wexford

Pigs on a bridge

The river Box runs through the centre of Boxford, and a number of the houses are approached across their own little bridges.  This householder clearly doesn't use his front door, and instead has a couple of whimsical concrete pigs on the bridge.

We had an interesting walk around the village today.  We watched a large HGV skilfully negotiate an awkward junction, with a number of parked cars.  Then we rambled around, found various paths.  One rather overgrown path led us to a stile where there was a sign saying "bull in field", but the "bull" had an impressive udder, so we risked it.  The next stile led us into a field with a pond, and here we lost the path, investigating a number of possible ways out, before eventually finding the correct one.

All quite leisurely, and finished off with a cuppa and a snack in the cafe in the centre of the village, watching the world go by.  Now having a relaxed holiday evening, and trying to decide what to do tomorrow.
