Last Day of Summer

Well, of Meteorological Summer at least.   Certainly there's a hint of autumn in the air and in nature.   Cooler nights, berries ripening in hedgerow and trees.   In the garden the autumn flowering bulbs are beginning to show including a increasing number of Cyclamen hederifolium with their variously patterned ivy shaped leaves.   This group were lifted from the old garden where a plant with nice silvered leaves had been planted out.  Lots of silver leafed seedlings came too.

Another busy day, mostly because I had a cafe shift as well as my cleaning job.  The complicated machinations connected with the flat that Ruth is interested in took a few turns but at the end of the day the option to buy looks more possible so we'll count that as a plus.    News on Jamie's move is that it looks likely that he will get  the keys later next week and the flooring could be done early the week after.

A quiet cuppa with friends this evening after Meg's walk.   Tonight at least, all's well with the world.
