False Alarm!

NOT autumn colour...just the early morning sun hitting the trees..it is just a trick of light, not coloured leaves..whew..

However, I am actually quite pleased to be rid of the heat and humidity and am enjoying sitting on the deck soaking up the warmth of the sun rather than holing up indoors escaping it... 

There was a mist rising from the water this morning, a group of six loons were swimming about fishing for their breakfast, and my sister spotted our heron posing on the point, backlit by the morning sun.. Our ritual of a morning walkabout at sunrise is a really calming way to start the day, and it is when we get our best photos...

It was a lovely clear, sunny, but cool day, befitting for September 1, which by the meteorological calendar, is the first day of autumn - another thing I have learned since joining Blipfoto! So, I guess that means that yes, autumn is actually here....?
