Leading Lines.

Awake at six this morning.  I got up to a dawn sky and a blanket of haar across the Howe so opened the window, took some pictures(see extra) and went back to bed until just about seven which is early enough for me.  Once up I watered the front garden.  It was surprising how dry the soil was when I planted the snowdrop[s yesterday. Used the hose on the doormats and the bird's ground feeder before doling out the bird food.  Didn't linger over breakfast but got on with the kitchen cleaning and disinfecting after which I lay about with a heat pad and an Ipad until the delivery man turned up.  Once everything got put away I reverted to the sofa and  phoned a roofer who is coming tomorrow to look at the guttering and give me a quote for painting it.  Pleased to have done that at last.  Afterwards, Parcel Force arrived with my new camera.  Pleased that it arrived with a battery and charger, the same as I already have and it uses memory cards that I have too.   The instruction book looked like War and Peace but turned out to be in more languages than I knew existed. so it really only told you what all the buttons etc were for.  A lot are the same as my present camera and in the same place.  Put the battery to charge and went into the garden to tackle the holly.  One bush now consists of a couple of bare trunks so I did well.  Used WD40 on the secateurs and loppers afterwards, wishing I could use it on my knees and back.  Back to the sofa, the heat pad and a mug of tea.  With the battery in the camera I could read through the menu which looked familiar in places. But I can see there will be a learning curve so a book is on order.  For detailed information Canon expects you to download PDF's which I don't fancy carting round with me.  Feeling enthusiastic and keen to get started  so I hope the adaptor and/or RF lens come into stock soon.
Sorted out dinner and while it was cooking went off to The Bunnet Stane car park near Gateside.  I knew there would be stubble and hay bales.  The sun has been shining all day so I couldn't miss the opportunity.
