Andrea, Yanni and Mikis,Pallikarias ~ Good Fellas

This morning I blipped baker Andreas in his pensioner's outfit with his friend Yannis; they sat outside the bakery what was Andreas's.  He's taking his pension since January 1st and it's his son and family who continue the baking and business. I love it his camouflage T-shirt shows he young at heart still (they both are).

When getting home from my little round for some grocery shopping, I learned from Sweetheart and his tele on, that Mikis Theodorakis had died this morning (at his home and at the age of 96 years).
So Greece has lost its larger than life Icon of composers! A fighter, a songwriter, a politician. In the 80-ies Greeks got a bit weary of Mikis, but the foreigners never did. And as he grew older and older the Greeks embraced him once more in their arms and hearts as they all ! grew up with his music, sang his songs and still sing his songs. Axion Esti, Romiosyni, The Mauthausen Songs, Canto General, Z, Sirtaki Dance from Zorba the Greek etc.

thank you all lots for your reactions upon my Umbrella blip  & milestone blip yesterday!
