Sing Along?

Today's blip is morning in the back bay..looking ever so autumn-like...And yes, that's a campfire ring on the shore, used primarily now for burning brush, but available in case of the urge to sing and toast marshmallows.

As kids who spent our summers at the cottage, we never went to  "summer camp" where camp songs around the fire were de rigueur, so we never knew those well-known (to others) ditties, but a guitar and some John Denver or Eagles songs would be just fine with me.

Today is a much better day, in that the sun has been around a fair bit and it is a touch warmer. We are  hoping that the weather will stay pleasant for the next few days. Today is the beginning of our Labour Day Weekend which signals the end of summer and the beginning of the school year, and for many, it is their last weekend at the cottage for the season. We expect to see a lot more boat traffic later today; according to my brother who drove south earlier today, the great mad rush north out of the city has begun, It is definitely not a day to be on the 400 north - which we are not...heh heh..We are already here and have no intentions of leaving until the weekend is over!

Get out the marshmallows.....
