Sunset

Since we arrived at the hotel late last night, we didn’t get to appreciate the beautiful view over a wide valley that was available from the dining area at the back of the hotel. There was a beautiful deck with outdoor seating as well, but although it was a sunny morning, it was on the cool side, so we ate inside. We weren’t so fortunate with our driving today, experiencing various delays due to road works or accidents, so whilst the nav. had told us 6 1/2 hours for the journey, it took us over 8 hours. Tonight we are staying in a bed and breakfast in Yarmouth Port on Cape Cod, as our AirB&b isn’t available until tomorrow. We received a warm welcome from our host - originally from Northern Ireland, and still speaking with a gentle Irish accent. There was a beautiful large garden at the back, and after our long drive it was lovely to sit there and relax for a while enjoying a glass of wine, before going for a walk to get a bit of exercise after our day of sitting. (See extra) We walked some of the lanes behind the Inn, and came upon this lovely sunset scene, before continuing our walk to the Old Yarmouth Inn, where we had made a reservation for dinner.
