One coat of varnish on the left and three, or was it four, coats on the right. I know what a lot of you will say... "What on earth are you doing turning your new doors that dark colour?" Because that colour belongs, it's the colour of the threshold strips and the bannister rail and the colour of the original doors. When they're all done I'll have to take them all off so that I can paint the frames.

Really hot and sunny today so I stayed in.  I don't feel like going for a walk or anything at the moment, I don't want people to see me as not only is half my face bright red and sore, but it's started peeling off the scabby layer.... yuk. I shouldn't go out in the sun anyway, even with F30 and a hat at present.
