Making Tracks

Today started in a "misty-moisty" sort of way. The sun soon dispersed the mist back to the Estuary of the Tay revealing blue skies.

The ground remained very moist though. Rolled up bays of hay are in favour around here. Some farmers gather them together and assemble them in lines of up to 10. Other farmers do not and some farmers still bale in cuboid shapes.

The hay in this field has been cut much higher above the ground than seems normal and I suspect that another crop will start to appear.

It might be used to feed sheep and it might be something which fixes nitrogen into the soil.
