Dreich....

Not a harvest day. How it can go from sunshine and heat in the 20s yesterday to rain and fog this morning is one of the joys of Scottish weather.
A family trip to get covid tests then went to self isolate in my tractor ! Kev carting bales from one field to next door , me carting from another to home.
Moved the combine back up the road from yesterday’s oat field. Wee brother went ahead in his Landrover as I keep the header on as it’s only about a mile but at 14 ft wide if you meet anyone coming the other way then the job is stuffed . Then went down the road to feed cattle . Had to go and help wee brother bring in a cow tonight. She had calved one calf but there was a head and 3 feet sticking out her. Bringing her in from the field was fun, dark and thick fog then heavy rain as well. Got her calved but this one was dead before we started . Hopefully she will look after the first one ok. The joys .
