Today was Malmö day. I left the good company of M and A to see a couple of friends in Malmo, the third biggest city of Sweden. These days Malmo likes to be with mentioned together with Copenhagen in Denmark as Örestad region. ”Öre” is short for Öresund, the narrow sound between Sweden and Denmark, and ”stad” menas city. A big change from the 1600ds when Sweden and Denmark used to be at constant war with each other on who was going to control the vital sound, a huge source of income for the nation in toll-charges.

I was seeing an old friend from my youth days for a lunch together in the gorgeous late summer weather. Later in the evening I visited Malmo Live, a new concert centre in the harbour area, where a classical guitar-friend of mine and an actor performed a play about Ida Presti, a famous classical guitarist of the 1940s.
The night will be spent in Lund at a friends place, before going home tomorrow,
