Above And Beyond...

Flanesford Priory

Year 2 Day 171 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 275 days ago.  UK open. Overseas travel with restrictions.

The plasterer finished his work about 9pm last night which meant it was a rare day with no workmen, so I could enjoy a birthday lay in and have a quiet morning opening cards/presents and enjoy a cuppa with a neighbour. A tradesmen actually turned up to give me a quote for some groundswork - we agreed a price and he'll be here 8am Monday - hopefully!

Whilst Mrs BB went for a swim afterwork, I popped out to get a local aerial view which shows Flanesford Priory with Goodrich Castle (1148AD) behind on the hill. It's a 14th century monastery that's been converted to holiday accommodation and a cafe overlooking the river. The extra is of Kerne Bridge (1825AD) over the River Wye opposite the Priory.

Mrs BB is taking me out for a 'Spoons meal tonight. Nothing expensive - I'm cheap to keep!
