Skyping with Euan

Euan had lots to tell us this afternoon when we tuned in for a Skype catch up.  He had walked all the way up the hill in the park and seen runners running.  He remembered pressing the button on our printer when he was here, 'and the paper came out!'  He asked me to read him his favourite book of the moment, 'Nature Trail', and was able to pronounce Benjamin Zephaniah and finish the end of the sentences on each page.  He requested lots of different coloured balls be made by Mummy from his playdoh and he told us about the rain and the towel getting wet.  He then played Splat on the settee cushion and encouraged Granny and Grandad to join in.  It was non stop joy.  The family's 'express' container has still to arrive and they feel like they are camping out in their new house at the moment.

We took the train to Skipton this morning in the search for new waterproofs for our holiday.  Stock was low in the outdoor shop so we've been on their website and ordered online.  Tony did replace his low level walking boots successfully.  We had a cuppa and a snack at a pavement cafe before catching the train home.  I'm still nervous about using the train and there was only 50/50 wearing of masks in both directions, despite announcements.
