Sigi's x0th birthday party

Angie's sister Siglinde's birthday was actually on the 21st January and all the family were very disappointed that she didn't invite us to spend the day with her. That she was on one of the Canary Islands was not a problem for any of us.
Well today, she made up by inviting us (about 25) to lunch at Egg near Wolznach, in the Hallertau the largest hop growing area in the world. Egg is a "hamlet" of about 12 houses, one of which is the farm, butchers and restaurant of the family "Siebler". Having parked in the farm yard, entered the building via the butchers sales counter in to the restaurant which, judging by the vaulted roof, was once the cow stable, we sat down for a good meal & naturally for the area, good beer & a schnapps or two. Later most of the guests got homemade cakes out of the cars (I had made a black forest cake) and coffee was served. (There is no charge for bringing your own cakes.) 5 hours later we rolled homewards.
Firstly thank you Sigi & Gerhard for a great day even if it wasn't as warm as the Canaries. Secondly, SORRY Sigi that you are not featured in the Blip! But I think you will know why I chose this photo; 3 generations - Grandmother Paula, mother Brigitte & wonderful daughters Steffi & Andrea. To see all 4 together and laughing was a joy to us all & hopefully will be repeated again soon. (Brigitte is the eldest of the "terrible sisters" also comprising Sigi & Angie).
Sigi - perhaps I can make up by Bliping you on your next round birthday!
