Dog in the Blackbrook

By the time we reached Dishley Pool for the first time in ages, blue sky had emerged and it was pleasantly warm.

Two successive dry summers seem to have resulted in an early onset of Autumn. Ground as hard as iron and fallen leaves everywhere. (see extra)

This chap was cooling down in the Blackbrook. He was a rather stately character. The speed of the water didn't worry him although he did find it a bit difficult to climb out. He does look 'older.'

We stopped at the Olde Curiosity Book Shop in Hathern on the way back hoping for a cup of tea but had forgotten that it's closed on Mondays.

Zoom meeting about the peri urban project this evening. All could have been resolved within five minutes but these people who just whitter on and on. I had to leave. I wanted my dinner.
