HS2

There is a spot in Hampstead Road, just north of Euston, where something or other regarding the new HS2 railway project is under construction. It has created a single line, traffic light controlled bottleneck which adds an average of ten minutes on to the journey into the west end. And another ten minutes coming out.

Oh the irony - a new high speed railway that will cut the journey time to Birmingham by a few minutes is adding the same amount to the journeys of travellers into London, including those on the bus. If the two were calculated per capita and set against each other I reckon the extra journey time would be the larger amount. Discuss.

At least the nuclear missile launching tubes on site gave me my Blip today.
