Eclipsed

Bogged down with admin today. Ollie dog and I took the mail into town to post and went for an evening walk around the lake on our return. A brief period of nice light illuminated this pair of mallards. They're starting to show themselves more and moult their eclipse plumage which makes the sexes look similar. The drake is the one with the yellow bill.
