DAY 7 - CRETE

#Made it just after sunrise for a swim in the sun’s line!
#but went back to bed….our room is so lush though!! This is the view from my bed*
#then some pool fun with an inflatable strawberry…we checked out at 12 (later than we thought) but we’re allowed to use the facilities. Later The Rev went off for a massage for a massage and I had a manicure.
#sparkly nails and an ice cream…life’s good.
We had planned to leave at 3:00 for our next destination but the Rev thought it a good idea to stumble for 400m over jagged, slimey wet rocks…getting wet from splashing waves to a chapel on a rock!!! It was not a good experience as you can see from my expression…so I clambered of it and swam back :))))…the result was we were very late leaving
#after driving through another Gorge…(they love them on Crete!!)
We arrived in Hora Sfakion….with no rooms available at 5pm!!!?! Eventually after just asking in a few restaurants we found a room. It was clean, but old Greek decor…we still had 2 balconies although one looked out to a wall!!!
#However once we’d chilled and calmed down we had a lovely meal in the little fishing port….The Rev ate a whale!!!!!
