Beak House Pond Laid Bare

There was a pleasantly Autumnal nip in the air when we started this morning’s golf round with the promise of warm sun to come. For once, I made a good start and actually managed to par 3 of the first 4 holes, even hitting an 8 iron over the pond here to within a few feet of the flag. As you can see, the edges of the pond have had a severe haircut; it looks bare without all the reeds around it.

Needless to say, I couldn’t keep that standard up but still had a decent score, playing more or less to handicap, as did Chris who had joined us again.

This afternoon it was my turn for a (not so severe) haircut before we head on for a week or so in Wales tomorrow.

After yesterday’s drama, it took 4 workman this morning to fill in the hole in our neighbour’s drive. This afternoon another 6 arrived to tarmac over it!
