Rainbow succulent

This is a bit of an odd photograph, I know. When the sun shines through our kitchen window in the morning, it shines through the toughened glass screen we have there to prevent anyone falling through the window, and it casts rainbows onto the window ledge, the plants and the floor. At the moment, there are quite a few succulents on the shelf, and the sight of the rainbow on the succulent struck me as quite attractive.

A busy day running around in circles mainly at home. Spinning early doors, and then lots of meetings, and then lots of emails generated by the meetings, and lots of further emails in response to replies to the first emails. Etc. Etc. Generally quite fruitful.

A fair of domestic stuff in and around. We had a visit from a surveyor regarding our wardrobe installation, and got a date which is sooner than I had expected. Next week we need to plan the removal of the old furniture. This could be interesting…. Yet more aggravation from DPD, who were supposed to do a delivery for L on Tuesday, said they couldn’t do it, pretended to do it on Wednesday and told us we weren’t in (we were), and then when I said ‘ok then, deliver to a local shop’, said they would do it on Thursday, and then afterwards said they couldn’t do it until Friday. This was a next day delivery service which L paid for…. Pathetic. Then later I have been helping Mr A set up a new Fitbit…Yes, he’s gone back to Fitbit after a journey around some other possibilities. Amidst all of that, it was lovely to pop out in the late afternoon sunshine to see hazelh on a park bench (how lockdown was that?) and collect a mysterious parcel. Which cannot be opened or even peeked in until tomorrow.

Which reminds me: my birthday fundraiser for Scottish Refugee Council is still running.
