Stuff and Nonsense

Kestrel

The last time we were at RSPB Burton Mere, we were told about a little owl that frequents the Iron Age hill fort at Burton Point, so today we went to see if we could find it. Despite searching for over half an hour we did not manage to find it, although there seemed to be evidence of it in several places.
It was a nice walk and we saw a nice wheatear(extra), this kestrel and loads and loads of corvids.
We stopped off at the garden centre on the way home and then got stuck in some dreadful traffic. What would normally have taken us 35 minutes took us 2 hours and 15 minutes. There was some sort of accident on the motorway so we thought we'd be clever and take the back routes via Helsby and Frodsham but it was just as bad, maybe worse. But we finally made it home and after dinner I am going to relax with a bit of TV. I will continue to catch up with your blips tomorrow.
