An Indian Summer with Books

We are being blessed with a balmy Indian Summer. I forget that it is often like this when the students return to Edinburgh. It gives them such a good impression of the city before things return to normal and they realise they have been duped into thinking the climate is mild like the south of England. They will live and learn.

It was an expensive mistake not to have crossed Princes Street before I reached Waterstone’s book shop at the West end.
