Speckled Wood Surprise

Not a normal visitor to the garden but lovely to see in the garden this afternoon as I was sitting in the sunshine reading!

And it's been a lovely day of sunshine so we had fun in the garden again this morning, moving plants, potting up new plants and replanting a hanging basket with pansies and violas. And then this afternoon has been spent reading, doing a bit more gardening and swearing at football as Southend lost yet again... you'd think we'd be used to it by now!

Just had some excitement in the garden as the birds scattered as the sparrowhawk swooped in - he left empty clawed!! I'm sure he'll be back!
