Nicky and her Nikon

Copper and green

We are having lovely September weather, sunny and bright and still very mild. I liked the light on the bracken in the woods this morning, and it was so bright that someone needed sunglasses - see extra!

Last night at our zoom camera club meeting we had to submit some  images that we had found challenging to edit for the guest photographer - Joe Houghton - to edit using his Lightroom skills. He selected one of mine and it was very interesting seeing him edit it. The reason I selected that image is because it was one that was shot into the sun and so was blown out in the sky, and usually I would just bin an image like that as blown highlights are never good in an image - be managed to crop it and then clone patches of cloud to cover the blown highlights and did a very good job of it.

It has been a day of editing photos - I have now finished all the photos from Sunday's outing to Goodwood, and then I had to edit some photos for a camera club competition. I wrapped Gavin's presents as it is his birthday on Friday - although his main present has not arrived yet despite being ordered over 3 weeks ago. I am also having a problem with my Flickr account in that I cannot log in, so I had to submit some photos to their support advisor to prove it was my account and hopefully they can sort the problem.

Inca wrote her exam today online, it is such an unfair system to write exams like this as some get away with cheating which then affects the marks for everyone else (as marks are awarded in relation to the cohort of students). She is pleased to be finished now. Tommy was sad to finish his internship today as he has enjoyed it very much and has learnt so much that is directly relevant to his degree, as he managed to get an internship in machine learning (algorithms, AI etc) which is the area of his engineering degree that he plans to specialise in.

Tomorrow I am going to the Chelsea Flower Show so it is another busy day.
