Vinca

'Vinca' Aka...Periwinkle, is native to Europe, northwest Africa and southwest Asia. The name 'vinca' is from the Latin word 'vincire'; to bind or fetter. This is a flower of my childhood. Periwinkles grew everywhere in Miami, back in the day. This one flourishes in our front yard at the edge of the street.
