Slapton Sands Memorial (widwed220921)

We have travelled to Devon today,  staying near to the village of Slapton.
On the beach here is a memorial to one of the darker days of WW2 when a landing exercise was intercepted by Kriegsmarine E-Boats with significant loss of life.
