Kai Kaulukukui, Species at Risk

One more mural, in two stages. This wall is a challenge; tall and narrow, with an upper arm off to the right that really cannot be seen from anywhere. The artist made perfect use of that space for undulating kelp.

I love the way the light bisects Ricky Watts' piece in the Extras, almost perfectly aligned with the water line. The ocean is dark below, and the world on top shines bright, at least at 230 in the afternoon on the first day of autumn.
