"Flaps down for landing"

It's been a day of rest and reading. Moved away from the Bruno series to read abook by Christopher Brookmyre. Started yesterday afternoon, and finished just now. He maintains the tension throughout.

Auckland is still having new cases linked to the known cases of Covid.Thursday only 9 were reported, and yesterday it was back to 16. Thirteen of the last 16 are linked to previously notified cases. Only ten of the cases in the last fortnight have not been linked by the trackers. Of the 1,129 cases in this Delta outbreak 903 have recovered, 13 are in hospital o whom four are in intensive care.

I've posted a photo of a tui as an extra. In part because it allowed me to get really quite close, and with the sun shining on it for this photo. It was on a branch in a Pohutukawa; a branch which extends over the main deck.
