Not a Squirrel

Today is not about gray squirrels or baby red ones, or anything to do with outside at all, because it’s been raining buckets. The good news is the storm will lift out soon and we might actually see sun before the end of the day • Today is for indoor activities, like taste testing our cinnamon applesauce (two big thumbs up), mixing dry cat food together to fill an empty container, sorting through a clothes closet, setting up a new aromatherapy diffuser, and taking photos of my clingy boy, Grouch • He follows me around the house like a shadow, hoping to be noticed, wanting to be acknowledged, begging to be petted. Grouch receives all of those things, of course, but he desperately needs to know he’s my Number One because he’s terribly jealous of Newt, the feral cat we lured into our home a few years ago. The household cat dynamics are challenging but we do have more good days than bad, and it’s all about keeping Grouch in a good space. If I do things well each of our three fur babies believes he/she is most special of all :) • Have a peaceful and joyful Sunday!
