Back-blipping again! :(

Today started more leisurely but there was much to do, so no hanging around. The morning was spent catching up on necessary things, ready to go car hunting in the afternoon.

Hannah, the lady sitting next to G on the seat, is the daughter of long-time friend Rita. We had bumped into her at Wafi a few Fridays ago, and she carelessly said she would drive us around if we ever needed it. Well, the Peugeot is not the best car to be in during the hottest time of the day, so we took her up on her offer.

She picked us up around 3 o'clock, and we drove to the adjacent precinct (Za'abeel 2) to look at a Peugeot 308 Sportiage. Well, what can I say? Za'abeel is the palace area where the Sheikh and his close associates live. We often drive through it, taking the scenic route to see peacocks, hoopoes and other birds. Today, we saw and became aware of buildings we had no idea about. (There's a garment factory there). Anyway, the car itself was nice and within our budget. We said we would let him know.

Then, straight on to view the next car, this one a bit further away in Al Quoz. Hannah did a great job of driving. The next car we saw was a Red Renault Symbol. It is not a make I would normally look at, but there are so many of these vehicles on sale at the moment, we can't ignore them. The car was nice and well kept. We enjoyed the second test drive of the afternoon. Another one that we will get back about.

We then took Hannah (and her car) through an automatic car wash finishing up at Filli for a saffron tea! It was our "thank you" for her time. She was happy to pose for this picture. Apologies, for the low quality. My Finepix camera definitely needs servicing or something!

Home to finish weekend chores and to get ready for a new week. It's been a busy, full, and productive day.
