The word primrose comes from the Latin word ‘primus’ which means first…..it is typically one of the first flowers to bloom in spring. Because of this etymology, they are often seen to represent youth and everlasting existence.
Some of these have been in the garden for a few years but I also purchased a couple recently. Many green things are shooting out of the soil at the moment (including some weeds) so I spent a few hours out in the sunshine removing them.
It’s been a funny sort of day with changes to day light saving time. You get a bit confused as you often tell the time by the sun. I feel it’s mid afternoon but I’m cooking dinner.
