Mini blipmeet

Jerry and I met up with Peggy (KangaZu) and her hubby Richard today in Spartanburg for a walk through Hatcher Botanical Gardens.  A nice little garden but the blooms were either on their last gasp or just starting to bloom for the fall.   A sweet little creek ran through the park with a waterfall and a couple ponds.    We had scheduled this meet for Thursday but with major rain forecast for most of the week we decided it was best to do it today.  Spontaneous is the best way to go!   The weather was great...warm but pleasant!   

Having a blipmeet in person is such a great thing.  As we have followed and commented on each others blips for years it seems like meeting a family member after a long absence.     Hoping we can do this again in the future!!  

Thanks to Peggy and Richard also for the yummy Pennsylvania chocolates and the cardinal plant to put in my flower bed.   Maybe it will draw some hummers next summer since we did see one in the garden!  

A great way to spend a Sunday!    Hoping the weather cooperates as Peggy and Richard explore some of my favorite places in North Carolina...Brevard and Dupont State Forest.
