If you can't beat them...

Jupiter Artland

Katkatkat should have been getting the keys to her new house today, which is basically why we planned our visit, to be here to help.  However owing to glitches further up the chain that is delayed so we were free to "do the tourist thing".  KKK suggested we visit Jupiter Artland.  I didn't know quite what to expect not being particularly "into art".

As it turned turned out it was a very interesting day.  I would have enjoyed the wander through the woods whether the paths were studded with sculptures of one sort and another or not.  As might be expected some of the works appealed to me some didn't.  We had a very late lunch in the café, I had a very nice venison casserole.  Over lunch the weather changed and we moved from our outside seats back inside the café.  The change in the weather caused us to stay near shelter so we viewed the indoor parts of the exhibition before heading back to the car.

The blip is a panorama of the installation "Cells of life" by Charles Jencks.  The terraced mounds make great view points and we spent quite a while moving round the area seeing things from various angles.
